PLEASED TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE WALES FEDERATION OF INDEPENDENT UFOLOGISTS.
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CONTACTING CUFOG.
DUE TO VARIOUS INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED WITH TELEVISION, RADIO AND THE PRESS, WHO SIMPLY SEEK INFORMATION FROM CONWY UFO GROUP TO CREATE STORIES TO BELITTLE THE SUBJECT, CUFOG DOES NOT DISCUSS THE UFO SUBJECT WITH THE MEDIA. CUFOG WILL CO-OPERATE WITH THE MEDIA WHEN AND ONLY WHEN IT TREATS UFOLOGY IN A SERIOUS LIGHT.
Persons seeking information about CUFOG activities must demonstrate total clarity when contacting the Group.
In all cases (including emails), enquirers must supply their full name and address plus, a valid landline telephone number.
CUFOG does not withhold information or keep secrets. Thus, it expects a reciprocal arrangement. (Except your personal data - that will never be divulged to third parties etc).
Secrecy is the domain of those who would condemn, debunk and deny the extra terrestrial hypothesis.
Sadly the truth is, that newspapers and magazines want stories as do programme makers. Few if any, have any real interest in this or indeed other subjects, and seek only to portray a subject in a way which readers find readable. That sells. And it is selling which interests the Media. After all, they are commercial concerns.
As such, editors and reporters who know nothing of the subjects they pick on, will only publish what THEY think interests the readership etc. There is also the question of space and time - yes, even the Media cannot escape Cosmology - with limited space in a 'paper or time in a documentary for example.
As such, pertinent facts are left out and the subject is deflated.
There is too, the issue of vindictive reporters and programme makers, who see Ufology and Ufologists as oddities to be ridiculed. Again, others with an agenda to use the power of TV and newspapers etc to deliberately undermine Ufology and particular events especially.
It seems that never in the history of TV/radio or newspaper/magazine publication has an article appeared which was true to the subject.
When and only when a Media representative approaches CUFOG and makes promises that are delivered to the letter, will this organisation cooperate with support.
If you are such a representative (even from an alleged pro-UFO publication etc), please do not attempt to solicit any cooperation from CUFOG unless you are indeed, prepared to offer sufficient time & space to the subject, so that there is no need to edit anything.
WATCHING THE SKIES, LANDS AND SEAS OF NORTH WALES FOR EXTRA TERRESTRIAL ACTIVITY.
As was perhaps to be expected, Firefly Productions made a documentary about the Berwyn Incident which was aired on July 2nd 2008. The company had promised a fair and balanced production and I informed them that Firefly would be on trial so to speak, as to date, I don't believe a single programme about the event, nor, a single newspaper article has managed to convey the true information known at this time.
Firefly Productions and Channel 5 have dropped a huge clanger this time and true to form, the programme did not deliver. In fact, this is probably the worst and most prejudiced programme ever to be shown, giving large amounts of air time to those opposed to the event and absolutely none to those for the event.
